The European Association of Persons with Intellectual Disabilities and their Families

“Inclusion Europe represents the voice of people with intellectual disabilities and their families throughout Europe”

Inclusion Europe is an association of people with intellectual disabilities and their families in Europe.
We started in 1988.
We fight for equal rights and full inclusion of people with intellectual disabilities and their families in all aspects of life.

As a European association we work in the many different areas which our members have identified as important to them:

  • We provide for the exchange of knowledge across Europe
"Through Inclusion Europe I learn what my colleagues do in other countries."
  • We support our members.
"Inclusion Europe helps our organisation to become stronger."
  • We influence European policies.
"Inclusion Europe shapes European social policy according to our needs."

Our Constitution sets out who we are and how we work.

Our network

Inclusion Europe has a large network of members all over Europe.
Our members include the organisations of people with intellectual disabilities and their families at national, regional and local level.

Inclusion Europe is a member of Inclusion International which is the world-wide organisation of people with intellectual disabilities and their families.

At European level, we are a member of the European Disability Forum.
We call it EDF for short.
EDF is the European association of people with all disabilities.

We are also a member of the Social Platform which is a European network of organisations who work in the social field.
Both organisations help us shape the policies of the European Union.

To do its work, Inclusion Europe gets support from many organisations.
But this support is often not enough to fight for the rights of people with intellectual disabilities and their families.
That is why we also need your support!

  • Tell your friends and colleagues about Inclusion Europe and our work.
